Jerome B. Kaufman, MD, FACS, has had a diverse career; not only working as a professor at the public research-intensive university, the University of Illinois, served the US Army in Vietnam, and spent part of his time playing classical piano professionally. Dr. Kaufman played for Julliard and the San Francisco Symphony. Aside from his musical talent, Dr. Kaufman has over 40 years experience in neurological surgery. As a professor, Dr. Kaufman educates future healthcare professionals and travels the globe doing so, spending time in both Spain and Berlin. Within the University, Dr. Kaufman also wrote the program for the Neuroscience Committee and was involved with the committee earlier in his career.
